No hay memoria wikipédica de la misma. Asique solo apelo a mi memoria y mi archivo. Ya que cuento con unas mil fotos que descargué en su momento de ese sitio. Podes solicitar la coleccion a bibliotecalgttb@gmail.com 

ALLCANDID mostraban esa intimidad que comenzaba a compartirse en redes. Algunas espontáneas y otras armadas. En esos años había varias similares, como "onlyrealguy" o "stupidboys", "rotten", etc. Un web que ya no existe.

Mandate era un mensual gay pornográfica revista. Se publicó en Estados Unidos y se distribuyó internacionalmente desde abril de 1975. Junto con las demás revistas del Grupo Mavety, como Black Inches, cerró en 2009.

Historia

Modernismo Publications, Ltd. (MP) eran editores de Mandate, Honcho y Playguy, revistas populares para hombres homosexuales. MP fue fundada en 1974 por George Mavety con la publicación de Dilettante, que se cerró en marzo de 1975. Al mes siguiente, su sucesor, Mandate, apareció en los quioscos bajo la dirección de John Devere.

Mandate fue concebida como una revista de erotismo, noticias y entretenimiento para hombres homosexuales. Cada número mensual, además de exhibir exhibiciones artísticas de desnudos masculinos y ficción erótica, contenía reseñas de libros, películas y grabaciones sonoras de interés para la comunidad gay e informaba sobre eventos sociales, políticos y culturales relacionados con el movimiento por la liberación gay.

Joseph Arsenault sucedió a Devere como editor. Para cuando Sam Staggs asumió la dirección editorial, después de Arsenault, Mandate reclamó una circulación de más de 100.000 y disfrutó de la reputación de ser la revista para hombres homosexuales más importante de Estados Unidos. El sueño de Staggs era convertirlo en el equivalente gay de Playboy o Penthouse.

Tras la muerte del editor y novelista Stan Leventhal, Doug McClemont revitalizó el olvidado Mandate. McClemont fue nombrado editor en jefe durante el período crucial de mediados de la década de 1990, cuando la sexualidad gay se encontraba posiblemente en su punto más transitorio. La crisis del SIDA había alterado la forma en que el público en general percibía la pornografía y las relaciones entre personas del mismo sexo. ////

Go-Guys Vol 1 No 3 physique/beefcake magazine published in Winter 1964. 

Beefcake magazines masqueraded as fitness and wellness publications but were ultimately consumed by gay men. Because of the conservative and homophobic social culture of the era, and because of censorship laws, gay pornography could not be sold openly. Gay men turned to beefcake magazines, which could be sold in newspaper stands, book stores, and pharmacies.

TWO - 3

was the first major homophile magazine published in Canada, for Canadian gay men. TWO was published by Rick Kerr, the magazine’s name was inspired by the American homophile publication “TWO (Truth Will Out),” a supplement to the magazine One, which began in 1953. With issue #6 the subtitle was dropped from the covers. The publisher name was initially Gayboy Publishing, and quickly changed to Kamp Publishing LTD.

The magazine's content was eclectic, with articles, local drag revue coverage, stories, and lots of teen model physique photography. Of the six

issues in my collection, totaling 164 pages, physique photography made up half (82 pages). And the obvious reason was that Kerr also owned two studios, Rik Art and Can Art. He sold photos and books of the photography, advertised of course in the magazine. In TWO there were no nudes, and the "naughty parts" were blacked out with pouch-shaped black marker, a little distracting. 

The original Editor, Claude Collier, left after three issues, as he felt Kerr

was more interesting in turning it into a physique magazine, than in actual

written content. Several pseudonyms of Kerr's can be found in various aspects, as author (Edmond Kaye), and editor (Alex Edmond). The last issue of TWO (number eleven) was published in July-August 1966, and it has been speculated that when Kerr sold his clubs he stopped the publication as well.
